Inbound Logistics recently covered the launch of Fulfillment Flow, the new AI capability IFS Softeon introduced at IFS Unleashed this month. Here’s a quick look at what they wrote.
The article opens with a familiar problem: warehouses generate huge amounts of data, but many teams still piece it together from separate screens and static reports. Fulfillment Flow is designed to close that gap by showing teams what’s happening in real time and guiding them toward the best next step.
Solving AI’s coordination problem
As Inbound Logistics explains, AI often optimizes one area of the warehouse at the expense of the rest. A labor, replenishment or wave planning decision can ripple downstream and affect overall throughput. Fulfillment Flow takes a different approach. Six digital workers each cover one area: inbound, wave management, labor, automation, slotting and replenishment, and outbound. They share what they see with a central operational agent, which weighs how a decision in one area affects the others.
The result is that users can ask questions in plain language, see all the factors behind an issue, and get next-best-action suggestions based on current conditions.
People stay in charge
The article highlights that the warehouse manager always sets priorities and makes the final call. Fulfillment Flow follows those decisions and keeps learning across shifts.
IFS Softeon CTO Mark Fralick summed up the difference.
“A lot of AI in the warehouse space sits on top of operations, looking in from the outside. Fulfillment Flow works inside warehouse execution, so it understands the real context behind what’s happening on the floor. It doesn’t stop at telling you something is wrong. It explains why it’s happening and what to do next.”

The piece also places Fulfillment Flow alongside IFS’s broader Unleashed announcements, including IFS Intelligence and the Industrial AI Harness, which provides the permissions, approvals and audit controls underneath.
