When the NFL made its historic Australian debut at the Melbourne Cricket Ground, IFS Softeon had the opportunity to experience the day alongside customers, partners and members of the Australian supply chain community.
From a pre-game gathering to an unforgettable afternoon at the MCG and post-game celebrations, it was a day built around connection, conversation and community, with a little football along the way.
Starting the Day Together
Before kickoff, the IFS Softeon team welcomed customers and partners for a pre-game get-together in Melbourne.
With the city buzzing about the arrival of the NFL, the gathering gave everyone a chance to catch up, meet new people, and share perspectives on the supply chain industry and the opportunities ahead in Australia.
It was also a chance to celebrate the continued growth of IFS Softeon in the region. Over the past year, our Australian team has quadrupled as demand has grown for modern warehouse management and fulfilment technology. That growing local presence is helping us build closer relationships with customers and partners across Australia and the wider Asia-Pacific region.
And with IFS Softeon-branded drinks in hand, it was just about time to head to the main event.
Into the MCG
Walking toward the Melbourne Cricket Ground, the scale of the occasion quickly became apparent.
The Los Angeles Rams and San Francisco 49ers were set to make history with the NFL’s first regular-season game in Australia, and more than 100,000 fans would ultimately fill the iconic stadium.
Inside, the atmosphere was electric. For our customers, partners and team, it was a unique opportunity to experience the game together while taking in one of the biggest moments yet for the NFL’s international expansion.
On the field, the 49ers defeated the Rams 27–7. But for the IFS Softeon group, the final score was only one part of the experience. The real value of the day came from being together, continuing conversations that started before kickoff and building relationships in a setting far removed from the usual conference room.
Keeping the Conversation Going
The day didn’t end when the final whistle blew.
After the game, the group headed to a nearby bar for post-game celebrations, continuing the conversations over food, drinks and plenty of discussion about the game and the day.
It was another opportunity for customers, partners and the IFS Softeon team to connect, exchange ideas and get to know one another outside of the formal meetings that typically bring us together.
That sense of community was ultimately what made the day special.
