Softeon took part in a Tech Day as part of the UPS Founders’ Day celebration at the UPS India Technology Center in Chennai, India. Marking 118 years of serving customers, the event celebrated its people by bringing together UPS employees, technology partners, and students from local universities.
The origins of UPS date back to August 28, 1907, when two teenage entrepreneurs, Claude Ryan and Jim Casey, founded the American Messenger Company in Seattle. The annual events around the world honor the beginning and growth of the storied company.

The UPS Chennai Technology Center, opened in 2023, has quickly become a hub for cutting-edge digital solutions, enabling UPS to transform global logistics through technology. This year’s Founders’ Day featured a Tech Day program that showcased partnerships, new ideas, and talent engagement.

During the celebration, Softeon joined other UPS technology partners to share insights and demonstrate how collaboration is shaping the future of logistics. In addition to networking with UPS employees, Softeon also had the chance to interact with students from local universities connected to UPS’s placement initiatives. These conversations reinforced the importance of nurturing the next generation of supply chain and technology leaders.
To show their appreciation, UPS recognized Softeon with an award for being a valuable partner. Softeon is proud to take part in activities like UPS Founders’ Day. Connecting with industry peers and the academic community supports our mission to build smarter, more resilient supply chains.
