Zone Management

A WMS capability in which groups of storage locations can be grouped together to allow more precise control of how they are used. The most common example is defining putaway zones, for example by velocity code (fast movers zone, medium movers zone, etc.). But a WMS may also support other types of zones, such as work zones, cycle counting zones, slotting zones, pick zones and more. An advanced WMS sill support “one to many” zone management — a given location can be included in multiple zone types.
