Report Distribution

Softeon is web-centric, and all printer assignments and queues have to be defined on the server. Users viewing a report in their browser can print the report to their local printer. System administrators can assign a printer to a user, user-group, and work zones (e.g. pick zones.).

Reports can be generated in multiple formats (for example, PDF & PostScript). PDF is best for viewing, whereas PostScript is more conducive for printing. All reports are system date/time stamped. Users have access to reports that were generated earlier by the report scheduler and can print those reports anytime. The report scheduler can also be configured to e-mail reports to appropriate user-groups.

Softeon provides printer administration screens that integrate printer-admin scripts of the underlying OS. However, granular printer administrative functions are better supported by the OS printer admin tools.
