Event Management

Softeon's event management allows real-time monitoring and visibility across the entire supply chain operation, both within the enterprise and outside the enterprise. The system's event management capabilities are fully "native" to the core product. No optional product is necessary, and no additional license costs are required. Our Java J2EE technology uses underlying business intelligence and data to allow real-time processing of individual user-defined events and Key Process Indicators (KPIs). The Web architecture is based on open, XML-based standards to provide maximum flexibility to respond internal and external events. Event notifications can be delivered using a variety of industry-standard mechanisms such as email, pager, fax, report generation, flat-file (FTP), and XML, as well as configurable, custom delivery mechanisms.

Softeon's event management module monitors the end-to-end fulfillment process from order entry to delivery tracking. It can monitor events based on either pre-defined rules or virtually any user-configured rule. When a defined event occurs, the system can respond in several ways, including an alert (based on a subscriber's profile), a program execution (based on defined rules), and a workflow execution (based on workflow task definition).
