A key factor in our manufacturing solution capability is integration with ERP systems at the enterprise level, which includes such areas as Supply Chain/Distribution Planning, Material Planning, Shop Floor control, finance, HR, and more. Softeon's supply chain execution solutions seamlessly integrate with ERPs such as SAP (SAP certified), ORACLE, and other proprietary systems (including AS400, .Net, etc.). With respect to Supply Chain Planning, the system can take real-time or scheduled feeds of Forecasting information or Distribution Resources Planning information and allow operational personnel in the DC to adjust daily shipment planning, wave sizing, etc.. They can also pro-actively respond to shortages/overages of SKUs and report back to the ERPs on a real-time/scheduled basis. Thus planners can also make timely decisions (for example, to manufacture finished goods/components or to transfer from one DC to another based on target inventory levels to be maintained across the board). The Softeon system is also capable of analyzing shipment histories (besides having its own Forecast management system, FMS), which can model and trigger inputs for planning systems based on different statistical modeling techniques.

The Manufacturing vertical also handles specific project-based warehousing (e.g., when dealing with a new product launch, a new version, a promo, etc.). So it is essential that the warehouse management systems handle SKUs relevant to a project as a separate logical entity. Receiving into such zones, picking for assembly or kitting, value added services, packing and shipping, and labor tracking specific to a project or projects are essential. Softeon's solution can handle these situations with ease.

In a contract manufacturing environment (such as 3PL providers with advanced capabilities), Softeon solutions can handle, through real-time interfaces (EDI, Rosetta Net, SAP or Oracle business connectors, XML, etc.) the exact requirements for components needed for assembly, from the warehouse (via Push or Pull signals between the ERP and the WMS). The system handles inbounds into the warehouse and feeds into the assembly floor in such a manner as to maintain optimum or just-in-time inventory. This kind of environment also requires capabilities such as Vendor Managed Inventory (VMI) that Softeon's solutions seamlessly support.

The rest of the capabilities, as described in verticals such as consumer goods, are also applicable for the manufacturing environment, such as compliance (FDA/HAZMAT, etc.) and compliance labeling, work order tracking (from cost and productivity standpoint), pick, pack, and shipping operations. Softeon solutions also have add-on functionality for asset management and tracking.
