Hoffman Beverage Company Selects Softeon SCE Solutions to Improve Warehouse Productivity and Delivery Operations

Leading Anheuser-Busch Distributor to Support Continued Expansion with Tools for Warehouse Management, Voice, Load Optimization and Route Delivery

Vienna, VA -- Softeon, provider of the industry's most innovative software solutions for supply chain execution, announced today that Hoffman Beverage, a leading distributor of Anheuser-Busch products, has selected its SCE solutions to help the company improve operational efficiencies in its warehouse and delivery operations.

Hoffman Beverage, headquartered in Virginia Beach, VA, will deploy an integrated set of Softeon software solutions in its two warehouse facilities.

Softeon's SCE solutions will integrate with Hoffman's existing order processing and accounting systems. Key components of the total solution will include:

A Warehouse Management System (WMS): The WMS will enable Hoffman to streamline receiving processes through use of Advanced Shipping Notices, achieve real-time inventory visibility and lot control, improve order picking productivity, and have paperless operations though use of either radio frequency or voice-based mobile terminals.
Slotting and Warehouse Simulation: These tools will enable Hoffman to further improve its pick line set-up and order picker productivity.
"Route Saver" Trailer Optimization: Softeon's Truck Load Optimizer will enable Hoffman to optimally create and pick customer-specific delivery carts, and to optimally load both Mickey Body's "Route Saver" trucks as well as traditional side-loaded vehicles currently in use.
Direct Store Delivery (DSD) Automation: Softeon's advanced DSD module running on handheld computers to automate data collection and delivery transactions, and to significantly improve the inventory reconciliation process.
