Softeon is one of a small number of SCE and Warehouse Management System (WMS) providers to achieve certifications from SAP for integration into the core ERP system and newer NetWeaver integration platform. This enables Softeon to reduce the cost and risk of integration for SAP customers considering best-of-breed logistics solutions.
Softeon's advanced technical architecture was critical to the certification effort. The entire SCflex suite of solutions (WMS, transportation management, order management and other SCE applications) is completely web-native and J2EE (Java) compliant, and was built using advanced Service Oriented Architecture (SOA) design standards.
Softeon has received the following SAP certifications:
- SCflex'S Interface Services are certified for Decentralized Warehouse Management Systems (LE-IDW 4.6 certification), and enable SCflex to run as a decentralized, stand-alone WMS operated separately from the ERP (SAP R/3 4.6, 4.7 or mySAP suite of applications like mySAP ERP)
- SCflex's core architecture is J2EE compliant, and is therefore certified to run on the NetWeaver framework - under SAP WAS 6.4 (web application server)
- SCflex's "Powered by NetWeaver" certification brings the benefits of NetWeaver components into play - SCflex can make available crucial WMS performance data and monitoring content into SAP portals (SAP BW and other NetWeaver services) in the framework
- SCflex has also achieved the "Certified Business Package for SAP Enterprise Portal" (SAP EP-BP 6.0) designation.
SCflex's high performance WMS interface service can support multiple integration methods with SAP, including NetWeaver, real-time BAPI interfaces, and IDOC exchange. SCflex is able to process thousands of IDOCs in the fastest possible manner, giving a high visibility of inventory and goods movements back to SAP users. SCflex also has a superior error-handling engine to monitor IDOC status, error processing and system down time situations.
